Privacy Policy

Effective September 9, 2026  ·  Last updated September 9, 2026

Certified Pep Lab (“Certified Pep Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, create an account, place an order, contact support, or complete any age, identity, or research-eligibility check. By using the website you agree to this Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Shipping & Returns Policy, and Research Disclaimer.

1 Scope

This Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with our research-use-only website and sales. We sell laboratory research materials. We do not provide medical care and we do not want medical records, prescriptions, dosing questions, or treatment information sent to us.

2 Information You Provide

We collect information you give us, which may include:

  • Name, email, phone number, and billing and shipping street addresses.
  • Account credentials and order history.
  • Payment details handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Messages you send to support and any files you attach.
  • Age, identity, laboratory or institutional affiliation, and other eligibility information if we request verification.

3 Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address, browser, operating system, device type, and similar technical data.
  • Pages viewed, time on page, clicks, referring URL, and cart or checkout events.
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including a verification or age-gate cookie if we use an access gate. A verification cookie, if used, may remain on the device for up to 30 days.

4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from payment processors, fraud-prevention tools, FedEx or other fulfillment partners, analytics providers, and vendors that help verify age, identity, or laboratory affiliation.

5 How We Use Information

  • Create and manage accounts and process FedEx shipments and payments.
  • Send order, tracking, and account emails, and transactional texts if you give a mobile number.
  • Verify that purchasers are 21 or older and appear qualified to buy research-use-only materials.
  • Prevent fraud, chargebacks, and suspected misuse of research products.
  • Keep records of sales, refused sales, cancelled orders, and compliance reviews.
  • Improve the website and, where allowed by law, send promotional messages you can opt out of.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms, Shipping & Returns Policy, and Research Disclaimer.

6 How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

  • Payment processors to complete checkout.
  • FedEx and any warehouse or shipping software we use to deliver orders. FedEx does not deliver to P.O. Boxes; we share the street address you provide.
  • Email, hosting, analytics, customer-support, and fraud or verification vendors that work only on our behalf.
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance) as needed to operate the business.
  • Authorities when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is needed to investigate fraud, product misuse, export or sanctions issues, or a threat to safety.
  • A buyer of our business, if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize.

7 Research-Use Compliance Records

Because we sell research-use-only materials, we may collect and keep information needed to check eligibility, review risky orders, and investigate suspected non-research use. That can include refused-sale notes, suspicious messages, and verification documents. Those records are used for compliance and legal defense, not for marketing.

8 Cookies

  • Essential cookies: cart, login, checkout, and any access-gate or verification cookie.
  • Analytics cookies: aggregated traffic and performance.
  • Preference cookies: saved settings.

You can block cookies in your browser. Essential cookies are required for the site to work. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

9 SMS and Email

If you give a phone number, we may send transactional texts about orders and delivery. Carrier rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts. Opting out of texts does not stop order emails.

We do not send marketing texts unless you separately opt in. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message. You cannot opt out of transactional, security, or compliance messages needed to complete an order or enforce our policies.

10 Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission (SSL/TLS) and access controls. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11 Retention

We keep personal information while your account is active and as long as needed to fill orders, prevent fraud, handle disputes, and meet legal duties. Order and payment records are typically kept at least three years. Tax and financial records may be kept about seven years, or longer if law requires. Compliance and refused-sale records may be kept as long as reasonably needed to protect lawful distribution of research materials.

When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it, except where retention is required by law.

12 Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold, or ask us to limit certain processing. We will respond to a verified request within 30 days where required. Some records cannot be deleted if we must keep them for taxes, fraud prevention, or research-use compliance.

To make a request, contact support with the subject line “Privacy Request” and enough information for us to verify you.

13 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident you may have the right to know what we collect, correct it, delete it (subject to exceptions), and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in CCPA/CPRA. If that ever changes, we will add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

Submit California requests with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify identity before fulfilling the request.

14 Children and Age

The website is not for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

15 Changes

We may update this Policy and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of the website after a change is posted is acceptance of the revised Policy.
